Ahhhhh, Ambient

You captured that essense I think. Nice simplisicty and melodic interplay on your instrumentation. I think it's fine without ever developing a hardcore beat since very few Ambient tracks are meant to hit hard anywhere along the way. Love the synth dropo-in at 2:00, but ya shoulda kept another background instrument before the piano came in, like the tinkling bells synth. This coulda been a powerful wave of synthesizers coming at the listener from all directions, with that saw in the mid channel, piano from the right, and a nice wavering bell phasing from left to right with a support synth on the left channel. As powerful a sound as the saw is it begs for some crazy phasing effect work to make this pulsate. But all-in-all a superbly put together ambient piece.

Keep it up.

I might have to do a re-up on this one for a future album. Great input.

Whooooooooo!

Dayum, horrorcore yessir! You a Brotah Lynch Hung or Necro fan? Or is this from that midwest stuff, that StrangeMusic/Hatchet collabos stuff? Either way, good job on this one. Keep it pimpin' and develop this sound for sure.

Peace

PBM responds:

Yeah man, you know your shit. This is coming from the midwest, Indiana to be precise. Thanks for the props yo. Love Brotha Lynch and Necro both by the way.
Peace

HAHAHAHA

Similac! HAHAHA! F' them haterz, boy. They can't decide whether they're old bosses or young bucks anyways...and most of them got Britney or Avril Lavigne on they myspace friends list, tryin' to claim they represent hip-hop. This one shot down half the AP, hilarious!

PBM responds:

LOL. Thanks man. You been hated on, I can tell..heh.
I think the flows on this one are hilarious. Its def. one of my favorite flows.

Sounds like a challenge!

First, lovin' this track, great epic ambient piece showcasing your talent. Second, you obviously have confidence and a wide range of talent since this is more akin to a classic Dj Shadow ambient/instrumental hip-hop track than a normal beat or even the horrorcore you usually do up big.

Give me a chance to finish up some projects and I'll try my hand on this challenge you've lain out though...hahaha!

ok kool man and im sorry for the attatude man im sorry, i just had to prove my self to a few people im sorry for the attitude. im a really a good guy . but im looking foward to hearing what u got ok.

They don't like ya style...

But the 0 bombers are just jealous cuz of that "Welcome to the barber shop, nobody fades me!" line. Serious, ya flow, regardless of whether it's on a metal infused beat or not, puts most of the Hip-hop section to shame and they hate it when someone comes on with your level of talent. Keep doin' you, this sh*t bangs.

Peace

legaceymusic responds:

Dunno which of NG's haterz 0 bombed ya, but that douchebag needs to man the f*ck up and leave a review if they are gonna 0 this. Your fusion of metal/rock and hip-hop is killin' this, man. Definitely keep it goin'.

Perfect sample and insertion. On the hit, lower the volume a bit and pan it or phase it a bit to one side, it takes over the track a bit too much. Love the chorus sample, and the whistle. Lyrically strong, man. Keep it pimpin'.

ok now i kno why it was so hard to rap to

Man...

Good first try, but you're thinkin' too much in terms of Hip-Hop, as Druid said. House would progress slower than this...whereas in Hip-hop you have a 4 or 8 bar lead-in straight to the meat of the track (mid, high and low plus drums), most techno is slow progression. 4 bars of beat alone, 4 bars of beat plus high synth, then 4 more of beat, high synth, bass, and so on and so on, with massive breaks at points. What you've got here is almost dub/glitch without any dubs or glitches...it's frantic, it comes at you from all angles, and it thrashes ya hard. Not a bad sound, per se, just a bit experimental for most tastes methinks.

But by all means, keep at it. My first techno jam sounded way worse than this years ago, and I was doin' industrial ambient/horrorcore, which already has a tendency to sound like garbage even when it's done correctly...

Keep it pimpin', lookin' forward to hear your sound progress in this.

mseemercury responds:

thx man just thought i might give it a try man. haha never listen to this kind music much. yo get ur damn verse done bro lets get this cannibal brigade poppin

Keep it up

This one is great, esp. for your first beat. Not alot to work on, really, ya got pacing, EQ is pretty good, drumline is done well, though I hear a bit of treble clip when ya hat and sidestick ridin' on the track. Otherwise, up the bottom end of the bass drum a bit, there's little kick in it, though that could be a personal preference, but I come from down south w/ Bass/Bounce/Bump music, so I love hearin' a good bassline on a track that's amped up like this one.

Keep it pimpin'.
